New facility expands access to comprehensive orthopedic and spine care for Connecticut shoreline communities
OLD SAYBROOK, CT — JULY 1, 2026 – Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates (MOSA) officially celebrated the opening of its new Old Saybrook location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 30, in partnership with the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce.
Community leaders, Chamber members, physicians, staff and guests celebrated the opening of the new facility, which expands access to expert orthopedic and spine care for residents throughout Connecticut’s shoreline region.
“As our shoreline communities continue to grow, so does the need for convenient access to specialized orthopedic and spine care,” said David J. Hergan, MD, sports medicine and joint replacement surgeon and Medical Director at Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates. “Our new Old Saybrook location reflects our commitment to meeting patients where they are by providing high-quality, expert care, from diagnosis through rehabilitation, closer to home, helping them recover faster and return to the activities they enjoy.”
Located at 52 Spencer Plain Road in Old Saybrook, the new facility offers fellowship-trained orthopedic and spine specialists, on-site imaging, physical therapy, specialized hand therapy and in-office procedures in one convenient location, making it easier for patients to receive coordinated care close to home. Patients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach that brings physicians, therapists and diagnostic services together under one roof, creating a seamless experience from diagnosis through recovery.
